We are writing the first ones now. Until they are ready, here are the ground rules every article will follow.
Our ground rules
- No medical claims. We do not say any food or habit prevents, treats or cures a disease. We describe; we do not prescribe.
- Official sources first. Factual health statements cite primary or official sources such as the USDA, FDA, CDC, NIH or peer-reviewed research.
- Dated and reviewed. Every article shows when it was written and when it was last reviewed. We review each one at least once a year.
- “Organic” means certified. We use the word for a farm or product only when USDA certification can be confirmed in the Organic Integrity Database, or when USDA rules exempt it.
- Clear disclosures. If we ever earn money from a link or get a free product, we will say so right next to the recommendation, not only in a footer.
